10. Wendy's
Wendy's is a very great fast food restaurant. So good, it made it on the Top 10 Best Restaurants list. Wendy's has Frosty's and burgers and it's very popular on island. The reason it wasn't ranked any higher is because it's fast food and isn't the best compared to these other nice restaurants.
9. Umami
Umami is a sushi restaurant, the best on island because of its variety and it's one of the only ones. This is a great restaurant to go to. The sushi seems a little overpriced and some of the ingredients aren't very fresh because it's hard to ship here. That's why Umami is only ranked number 9.
8. AMA'S
AMA's is a very nice restaurant by Cane Bay. It is a very nice restaurant and the money spent is worth it. There is also a beautiful view of the ocean. The reason why it was only ranked 8th and not higher is because from experience, during hurricane season, some seats can be soaked from the waves making it risky to eat there during that time.
7. The Landing
The Landing is a very delicious spot right on the Cane Bay Beach. The Landing has fresh seafood making it one of the best restaurants to go to. This is well worth the price as well being one of my family's favorite spots to go to. The only reason this is ranked 7th is because some people that I know absolutely despise this food and because it's pretty far away unless you are living close to it.
6. Marias Cantina
Marias Cantina earned the number six spot because it offers a wide variety of food and amazing drinks. It is also one of the most popular restaurants on island, if not the most popular. However, it did not rank higher due to long wait times and prices that are slightly higher than what most people can typically afford.
5. The Bistro
The Bistro is a great little breakfast and lunch spot out east. It only made fifth place because it closes at 3:00 and doesn't serve dinner, but honestly, it's still one of my favorites. The prices are super reasonable, especially for sandwiches and salads, and the food always hits the spot. It's also right next to a bookstore, which is perfect if you want something to do while waiting for your order.
4. Chicken Shack
Chicken Shack is amazing, but the two main drawbacks are that it's cash-only and that they sometimes run out of sides due to how busy they get. They remain highly recommended, though, because their great food is not expensive and offers excellent value, even if the overall experience doesn't compare to some of the better spots on St. Croix.
3. Victor Mencho's
Located near the Sion Farm stoplight, Victor Mencho's is a small shop that serves only sandwiches. Their main drawbacks are logistical: they rarely answer the phone and they close early, around 2:00 P.M. Despite this, they earned third place on this list because of their simplicity. Their standout item is a roast beef sandwich with Swiss cheese, complete with pickled cabbage and a light coating of mayonnaise and mustard.
2. 340 Mexican Grill
340 Mexican Grill is a great choice for dining out, offering a wide variety of affordable food options. The menu caters to everyone, with seafood for pescetarians, fajitas for vegetarians and vegans, and classic chicken or steak for meat-eaters. They even serve a delicious Crucian breakfast in the mornings, from 6:00am to 10:00am which includes local favorites like saltfish, herring, chop-chop, cucumber, eggs, and johnny cake. However, this is not open yet, but we've had a sneak peak of their food and it is amazing!
1. Island Vybz
In my opinion, Island Vybz is the best restaurant on the island. They offer a great range of food, from perfectly cooked fish and steak to delicious burgers and wings, as well as refreshing local juices. Their desserts are also the best on the island, though they are currently unavailable. That said, the variety and quality of the main menu more than makes up for it. With prices ranging from around $12 to $32, it's a fantastic spot for a meal.
